Berkshire Open Event - Chess Tournament

A Berkshire Junior Chess Association open event for under-18 players in Finchampstead, featuring six rapid rounds with Fischer timing and prize giving.

Sunday 28 June 2026, 1.45pm–5.30pm

A Berkshire Junior Chess Association open chess tournament for junior players (under 18 on 31 Aug 2025). Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Format: 6 rounds with Fischer timing (10 minutes + 5 seconds per move).

• 1.15pm arrive
• 1.30pm parent introduction
• 1.40pm players seated
• 1.45pm round 1
• 2.20pm round 2
• 2.55pm round 3
• 3.30pm round 4
• 4.05pm round 5
• 4.40pm round 6
• 5.15pm prize giving

Entry fee: £11.50 (late entry +£5). Non-ECF members may pay an additional £3; results submitted for ECF rating.
