Oxford Road is a dark comedy based on a novel by local author Derek Walsh. Set in 2006, the play explores hard-hitting themes including depression, suicide, prostitution and substance abuse.

At its centre is an obscure persona named Dave, whose identity is an enigma, moving through Reading’s nights and days with a darkly comic lens and a persistent thread of hope.
