Berkshire Open Event - Chess Tournament

A Berkshire Junior Chess Association open chess tournament for junior players under 18, featuring six Swiss-paired rounds and prize giving.

Berkshire Open Event - Chess Tournament takes place on Sunday 8 November 2026 at Nine Mile Ride Primary School.

The fourth Berkshire Junior Chess Association (BJCA) tournament of the 2026–27 chess year is open to all junior chess players who are younger than 18 on 31-Aug-26. Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Sections are determined by entries and results will be submitted for ECF rating.

Please note: Nine Mile Ride Primary School is a nut-free school; no nuts or nut products are permitted.

Entry
Entry fee is £11.50 (available until 22.00 on Friday 06-Nov-26). Late entry incurs an additional £5 (available until 19.00 on Saturday 07-Nov-26). Non-ECF members pay an additional £3 (minimum Junior Gold membership required to avoid this fee).

No photography is permitted in the playing area during play. Any photos taken are for private use only and must not be shared on social media.
