Race to the Stones 2027 is an ultramarathon challenge along the Ancient Ridgeway, offering 100k and 50k options across Oxfordshire with fully supported pit stops and a festival-style basecamp.

Race to the Stones 2027 is a long-distance running challenge along the Ancient Ridgeway, billed as the UK’s biggest ultramarathon. Distances include a 100k Non-Stop option, a 100k over 2 days option, and two 50k stages (Thames Valley 50k and Ridgeline 50k).

Start location: Lewknor, Oxfordshire (Start address: Field Farm, Shirburn Road, Lewknor, Watlington, Oxon, OX49 5RR)

Finish locations:

• Basecamp / Day One finish: Lattin Down Kiln, The Ridgeway, Wantage, Oxon, OX12 8PA
• 100k finish / Day Two finish: Rutland Farm, Avebury, SN8 1RH

Sat 10 Jul 2027: 100k Non-Stop 6:00 AM; 100k over 2 Days 7:00 AM; Day One – Thames Valley 50k 7:00 AM
Sun 11 Jul 2027: Day Two – Ridgeline 50k 7:00 AM

Route highlights: The 100k route runs from Lewknor to Avebury (elevation approx. 3,704ft). The 50k routes cover Lewknor to Wantage (Day One) and Wantage to Avebury (Day Two), passing iconic landmarks and countryside scenery.
