The STAR Backyard PEASLAKE

An evening backyard-style trail running challenge in Peaslake, with solo and three-person relay team options over repeated 5km loops.

The STAR Backyard PEASLAKE is an evening backyard-style trail running event organised by Surrey Trek and Run in the village of Peaslake, Surrey.

Date: Friday 27 November 2026
Time: 6.00pm – 9.00pm (participants are advised to arrive by 5.45pm)
Venue: Peaslake Community Hall / Peaslake Village Hall area, Peaslake, Surrey GU5 9RR

The event runs for 3 hours and challenges participants to complete as many 5km laps as possible. There is no chip timing; participants wear a race number and collect a wristband after each completed lap.

Team event: Teams of three can enter a relay format where each runner completes one loop before passing to the next runner. The winning team is determined by the most laps completed (ties decided by the quicker overall time).

Course: Starting at Peaslake Village Hall, the route heads clockwise through Walking Bottom Car Park, climbs gently for around 2km towards Pitch Hill, then returns mostly downhill to the start.

Important notes:

• This is a head torch event; a head torch is required.
• Free parking is available at Walking Bottom Car Park and nearby locations (participants should avoid blocking rights of way).
• Prizes are awarded for men’s and women’s winners and for each member of the winning team.

Entry fees: £20 (solo) or £50 (team of three), including refreshments.
