Snapped: Reading Pride 2015

Reading Pride is a colourful celebration that brings together those looking to embrace the spirit and celebrate the LGBT community. This year was no different as thousands took to the streets in true fancy dress and colourful fashion.

Reading Pride was created back in 2003 to represent and support the local LGBT+ community. Since the first Festival attendance has grown steadily year on year with up to 10,000 people visiting the event as well as taking part in the Pride parade. The event is hugely popular and calls on everyone to embrace the day and enjoy themselves. The purpose of Reading Pride is to raise awareness on issues affecting LGBT persons, with several charitable and voluntary organisations within the community all working together.
