Let's Talk
Reading Rep Theatre
Established in 2012 by Reading-born Artistic Director Paul Stacey with only £500, the company has grown into one of the UK’s most dynamic producing theatres, crafting bold and original productions from the ground up in Berkshire’s largest town.
Based in a state-of-the-art venue on King’s Road, Reading Rep stages inventive reinterpretations of classics, West End–calibre musicals, brand-new plays, and daring adaptations.
As a disabled practitioner, Paul Stacey founded Reading Rep with a mission to break down barriers to accessing theatre—a principle that continues to shape the company’s vision: creating world-class theatre for everyone. This commitment is reflected in financially accessible ticketing, community-driven programming, and an unwavering focus on inclusion.
