Life Drawing with Carolyn Bew (Afternoons)

A guided life drawing course working from a model, designed for beginners and experienced artists to build observational skills, confidence and understanding of proportion, light and tone.

This afternoon course helps participants learn or practise life drawing by working with a life model under the guidance of an experienced tutor. Sessions use a mix of short and long poses to develop understanding of proportion, space, light and tone, along with appropriate use of materials.

Dates: 14 April – 26 May 2026 (no class 12 May)

Materials
Basic materials and paper are provided; participants may wish to bring preferred materials such as graphite pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener, charcoal and a craft knife.
